Switchfoot Concert!!!!!!! Eeeeee!!!!!!!!

This picture doesn't make much sense, but it is cool anyway.

So, I went to a concert on Saturday night. A band called Switchfoot was the main event. Switchfoot is a christian band, but they try to get on "non-christian" radio stations.

Their concert was a smash hit. I invited my friend, (whose nickname is Padfoot) and we totally rocked out, if you would call jumping up and down and screaming at random intervals "rocking out." We had fun.

At the concert, Switchfoot had some really cool lighting going on. When the strobe lights were especially crazy, I looked up at the ceiling of the amphitheatre, and saw really cool shadows and things.

The keyboard person for Switchfoot, Gerome, actually smiled and waved at me! I know it was at me, because I was the only person in my section with a glow-stick, and I was screaming and jumping like crazy. I was thrilled, and still am.

I went to the "meet and greet" thing, too! I got every one's autographs on a cool poster. I gave it away to a friend, Kyle. When I gave it to him, he was so happy though, that I didn't really care that I had given my signed Switchfoot poster away.

When I was at the "meet and greet," there was a small pile of Switchfoot posters on a table out in the middle of the tent. I was the first person to get one, then my brother, Justice, went and got one. Padfoot, a.k.a. Tiffany managed to grab one before Justice's friend, Peter, tried to get one. But just then, since this all happened pretty quickly, a mob of people just swarmed in on the table, and engulfed it. Peter later told me that he got a poster, but somebody jerked it out of his hands, so he lost it. Sheesh!

Although I gave away my Switchfoot poster, and Peter didn't even get one, the concert was a huge success that I will remember for a long, long time.

My Favorite Band -Pillar!!!!!!!

I just had to write something about this awesome band called Pillar. Usually, people like me, at my age, don't usually listen to really hard rockin' stuff, but I do. And I am proud!!!!!!
Pillar is a Christian/Rock band that has a really cool sound. I totally recommend their old and new music. Some of my favorite songs by them are, The Reckoning, Turn it Up, Everything, Smilin' Down, and Frontline.
I think my love for Pillar might be short, because I just recently thought the band Skillet was the best band in the world, and I could never love another band quite as much. I proved myself wrong, I guess! Now I think the same of Pillar.
I say to my friends, "Skillet didn't lose any of their luster, it was Pillar who I got more fond of, until I liked them better than Skillet." The same thing happened with my friend, Rebekah. Now we are both more crazy about Pillar than we ever thought we could be with any band, including Skillet!

My IMAX Experience

Today, I went to an IMAX show called U2 3D, and it was pretty cool. Actually, what I mean by that is it was AWESOME!!!!
U2 3D is an IMAX, as I have already said, and it is in 3D, as you might have guessed. The film is of a couple performances by U2, with them all edited together. So one song you might be watching them in Argentina, the other in Peru.
I think it was really cool because my dad said afterwards that most of the people at the concerts in South America didn't even speak English, but they knew the lyrics by heart! That really impresses me.
The movie is something definentely worth checking out, if you haven't seen it yet. If you aren't a big U2 fan yet, you will be, at least, in love with their music after you watch it.
My brother said that Adam Clayton, (with the 3D affects) the bassist hit him with his guitar several times!!!

Dance Dance Revolution

Have you ever heard of Dance Dance Revolution?
It is a video game that you use a mat instead of a controller with. To play, one must watch the tv screen which would have arrows showing you what arrows on the mat to step on. All the while music is playing and the steps are to the beat. It takes practice to get the moves right, but it is really fun once you get groovin'!
I love watching people who don't have much practice trying to do it. It is so funny to watch!!!!!
My brother was kind enough to get me the game and the mat for Christmas. I have had it for a little more than a year, now. I love it, and since I have aced almost all the songs on the disk, I think I might get a different disk with different songs that I can master on it. Wahoo!!!!!!!
Just wondering, are good "Revolutioners" really as rare as I think? Please comment and tell me if you are very good at DDR and if you know anybody who is.
Wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! (I just had to be random for once! )

My Science Book is Pretty Wierd

My science curriculum is called Lyrical Life Science. It's Biology or something. But, to bring meaning to the "lyrical" part of it, the author takes a normal tune that you might hear like "Oh! Susannah!"or"Yankee Doodle" and puts different lyrics to it, kind of like Weird Al. Here are the words to one of the songs put to the tune of "Shortnin' Bread:"
DNA is what they say, made you what you are today
Like a program it will tell, what will happen in each cell
DNA is a molecule, look real close, it's really cool
Like a ladder in a double helix, so simple yet so complex.
(Chorus)
De-oxy-ribo nucleic acids talkin' 'bout genes and chromosomes
De-oxy-ribo nucleic acids talkin' 'bout genes and chromosomes
:) (:
In chromosomes made of DNA, there is a particular way
Nitrogen bases can be seen, in special orders to make a gene
When organisms reproduce, different genes are on the loose
Dominant and/or recessive, the offspring gets traits the parents give.
(Chorus)
Genetics is the study of heredity, it may use probability
To predict just how likely, results of genetic crosses will be.
(Chorus)
Genetic engineers can use, parts of different molecules
Changing DNA around, to solve a problem they have found.
(Chorus)

New Music

Just to reccomend new music to you, there are new cd's that are out by TobyMac and Relient K. They are both awsome.

I was listening to the Relient K one today. It is called Five Score and Seven Years Ago. The Toby Mac cd is called Portable Sounds.

On every cd that TobyMac does has a little clip of music with his son, nicknamed Trudog. It is an awsome feature. I love it.

This is a picture of Relient K off one of their cd's. I do not know which one.
